Storyboard Text

  • Father Zeus, people are trying to murder Odysseus' son, Telemachus. Please let Odysseus return home.
  • Hermes, go tell Calypso that Odysseus shall return home.
  • Zeus ordered to let Odysseus return to his house.
  • What? Why do I have to let Odysseus go?!
  • Zeus and other gods meet in the council to discuss the fate of Odysseus. Athene convinces Zeus to allow Odysseus go back to home.
  • I will now let you go. Go make a raft and I will give you food and clothes for the voyage,
  • Zeus tells Hermes to go down to Calypso's Island and tell Calypso to set Odysseus free.
  • I can finally go back home and see my family again.
  • He shall have plenty of hardships before he reaches the land.
  • Hermes flies to Calypso's Island to deliver Zeus' message. Calypso does not really want to let Odysseus go, but she decides to since she can't disobey Zeus' order.
  • Calypso finds Odysseus sitting upon the beach, weeping from homesickness. She tells him to make a raft and she will provide him resources.
  • Calypso helps Odysseus build his raft which took four days, and sends him away from the island. On the eighteenth day, Odysseus spot the land of Phaeacians.
  • When Poseidon spots Odysseus sailing upon the sea, he gets angry and sends storms that destroys Odysseus' ship.
