I think the reason why I am so hot is because I am wearing a dark coloured shirt. The sun produces enery radiaton. The energy radiation is in the form of waves. The dark coloured shirt is absorbing the radiation waves from the sun. The heat from my shirt is now transferring to my body making my hot. A better dissision would have been to wear a light coloured shirt.
Radiation can appear in all states of matter and is highly efficient when being used.
The waves are so strong!
Convection occurs in any fluids like liquids and gases.
I think that the waves are so strong because the particles in the water are creating a convection current. The water is creating a convection current because the water is rising and lowering due to the rising of heat energy and the loss of heat energy.
Ouch! The metal pole is so hot!
Heat conduction only occurs in solids. The pole on the umbrella is a heat conductor because it heats up fast and loses heat fast. Heat conductors are usually metals like copper, aluminum, steel and more. A heat insulator becomes hot slow and cools down slow. Examples of heat insulators are wood, plastic, wool and more.
I think the pole is really hot because the metal pole absorbs the heat energy from the sun. The heat spreads through the pole because the particles collide into each other causing the heat energy to reach one end of the pole to the other.
