  • The whiskey tax was when southern and western farmers who grew the main ingredient for the drink, protest the reason why they had they had to pay taxes.

  • The southern and western farmers rebelled.

  • It was stopped because the president at that time George Washington took his milta and fought the rebelling farmers.
  • Where did it take place
  • It was a challenge to the government because the taxation cause a rebellion, and it was the first serious challenge to the federal authority.
  • The milta and the southern farmers were involved because though were the ones who fought the rebellion.
  • It took place in Pennsylvania in the year 1794  were the farmers and milta fought against each other violently.
