Storyboard Text

  • Natural Selection
  • In A forest, a population of snakes has a variation, or change in genetics that causes differences in the organism that can help the organism become visible to predators
  • After an environmental change, the Yellow variation of snakes starts making an adaptation, blending into the sand more, thus the green variation starts adapting, or making a change to help it survive, to become similar to the yellow ones, helping the population grow.
  • After this adaptation occurred, a massive overproduction, or having a generation in a population that passes the carrying capacity, or amount of a population an environment can withhold
  • Now, with a stable population after the overproduction, almost all animals are safe from predators due to their adaptation, nature will select who will survive, known as Selection
