Anna Garcia's death, activity 6.1.2 by Vitor, Merritt, Hailea
Anna Garcia was found dead in her own apartment. The first guesses were related to murder, but there was a lot more in tis story.
Her death was actually caused by a juntion of three health issues: Sickle cell disease, Diabetes and Heart Issues.
The sickle cell disease caused plaques in her left internal carotid artery and a blood clot in the middle cerebral artery, which was the main cause for her death.
The Diabetes created issues with some of her organs, including her kidney, because it was much harder for the body to filter and eliminate high amounts of glucose. This caused her kidney to necrose and fail.
she had a hypertrophy on her left ventricule and a mitral valve prolapse. The walls in her arteries got enlarged and her blood pressure rased. her body did not get the oxigenation needed. the combination of these factors caused her death.
