  • So nice to meet you guys and hear what you know about federalism. So I want to start off telling you guys what federalism is, your are kind of right Amanda federalism is a division of powers between the national government and the states government and their is some overlapping in power too.

  • Yeah and how does it relate to whats going on in the world now!!

  • Great questions, national government are assigned to powers like raise and maintain armed forces,conduct foreign relations and declaring war. While the state has powers like establishing public schools, establishing local government and conduct elections. This is great to know during the pandemic that we are having because a lot of the personal effect like the closing of schools and the shutting down of grocery store are decisions made the the elected state officials that citizens elect.
