- hello my is Marie tharp
- I was asked to help turn the tide of opposition leading to the greatest thing.
- My father worked in the department of agriculture and I would join him in his work trips I found an liking in do that stuff,
- I landed a position at columbia Universtiy in 1947. My role in this job was to collect thousands of depth measurements across the ocean.
- How it works is by sending out high frequency sounds recording the time delay of the returning to the boat but because I was a woman i couldn't go on the boat .
- I really help out with the project but some people did not believed me but got proven wrong.
