Antonio and Felix returned to train as soon as possible. Both were still so shocked at the results of the winner. Antonio fluttered with excitement. He was so happy of his performance and Felix happy for him.
"I'm grateful that we got through this together."
"I'm glad it was you who won and not some other rookie who I've never met."
Felix threw on a shirt before leaving the gym with Antonio. Rain couldn't get in the way of the way they felt. They blasted their favorite tunes and sang along in the wrong pitch. It was ok though, they sang like no one was watching them. These '' brothers '' had a close bond.
~ " R-E-S-P-E-C-T find out what it means to me."~
The boys entered Antonio's house with caution. They expected things like muggers and random objects to fly at them at any second because of the kind of neighborhood they live in. They were already wet so they went inside quickly and dried off.
"No muggers today?"
"Guess not. That's a shock."
"Thanks. Those kicks were pretty good. My whole body ached by the end of the fight."
Their big fight had been televised so they sat down and watched after showering to see the mistakes they made and how they can improve for their upcoming fights. The dog seemed to enjoy the fight and the fact that Anthony won.
"Nice punch. I can see how much power you put into those."
Antonio and Felix were seniors in high school. Today was their last day of school. Many weeks have past since the fight. Students who attended the school with them seemed to praise Antonio for winning the fight and criticizing Felix for losing, but Felix didn't let it get to him. After all he was too proud of Antonio. He had amazing strategy and the judges just happened to pick Antonio instead of him.
"Thank you so much. Felix did just as well."
"CONGRATULATIONS ANTONIO!!! Felix not so much."
"It's okay Felix. He deserves it. He worked just as hard. "
Summer reached its peak. The sun shone down and fried the whole city, but that didn't stop the boys from working their tails off. They were at the same place at the same time everyday starting at 7:00 am training to be the best they can be. They reached a milestone in their friendship. Their friendship was the strongest its ever been.
