  • The digestive system breaks down food to absorb nutrients.
  • The brain controls drinking and feeding actions. It also controls the muscles in the digestive system for elimination and spreading of nutrients.
  • This process is a feedback loop for the nervous and digestive systems. As whenever something is consumed, signals are sent to specific digestive organs to break up food.
  • Oh wow! I had no clue that the nervous and digestive system worked with one another!
