Palestine, also known as Canaan, was the promise land. God gave this land to the Hebrews, his chosen people.
Abraham, known as "the Father of the Hebrews," was known for leading his people to Canaan, also known as the Promised Land.
Moses led the captive Jews out of Egypt where they were slaves. They journeyed back to Canaan, the promise land.
They are once again back in Palestine, the Promised Land. This time life wasn't good. There was lack of water, no food, it was not a good home.
The Jews' kingdom was called Israel, and the first three kings were Saul, David, and Solomon. They were given the name Jew because they formed the tribe Judah.
Zoroastrianism, a new religion developed in the Persian Empire, became one of the few monotheistic religions. This religion ended when the Persian Empire fell.
