Storyboard Text

  • I am so thirsty and have nothing to drink when it is a very hot day. I know what I must do. I will put the ice into water by putting it in the heating it in the stove.
  • I took the ice and I turned it to water. This can happen because when you heat up the water in the pan , the ice particles or molecules will start to have definite volume but not definite shape rather than having a definite volume and definite shape. This means that the ice particles will start to separate as it is turning into a liquid and if the particles were together, it will become a solid When a liquid transforms into a solid, this is a process called the Melting Point since the ice is getting heated. This happens at 0 degrees Celsius.
  • Now that I had my drink, I will do an experiment to see what happens when I add a lot of heat to water and to do this, I will need a lot of Ice to heat into to water since there is still no more drinks. This is so that water can turn into gas after some time.
  • Just like when I turned the ice into water,I also turned water into gas. This can also happen because when heat like the sun is added to the water, the water particles start to move freely and start to become gas. When this happens, the gas does not have definite volume and it does not have definite shape as water has no definite shape but, has definite volume. Water particles start to separate away from each other to form gas particles in which the particles are the furthest away from each other. This process is called Vaporization since a liquid is turning into a gas and this happens at 100 degrees Celsius.
  • Thank You for exploring the 3 states of matter for me from solid to liquid and liquid to gas. Goodbye for now!
