Storyboard Text
- Once upon a time, there was a dust cloud (nebula), floating in space.
- A nearby exploding star called a supernova sends shockwaves causing the nebula to collapse.
- Where the cloud once was, there was a solar nebula, a group of swirling material, begins to contract further due to gravity.
- Gravity causes light gases to move towards the center while heavier materials and ice stay in the outer areas. When it becomes denser and hotter the protostar will begin fusion... A Star is Born!
- Planetesimals begin to form, rocky pieces in the inner and icy places in the outer rings. As the pieces of rock and ice gather more material they will grow into planets and moons.
- All of this created what is now a solar system!
