  • 476 C.E. - The End of the Western Empire
  • 481 C.E. - Clovis became leader of the Franks
  • 511 C.E. - The end of Clovis' reign
  • The Western part of the Roman Empire fell due to many problems. They are, Political Instability, Economic Problems, Social Problem, Weakening Frontiers, and The Rise of Christianity.
  • 768 C.E. - Charlemagne begins his rule
  • At the age of 15, Clovis became the leader of the Franks. 5 years after, hed defeated the last great Roman army. He led the Franks into many great battles which allowed the Franks to capture more land.
  • 800 C.E. - Charlemagne was crowned "Holy Roman Emperor"
  • After a reign of 30 years before his death, he accomplished many things and lived to age 45.
  • 814 C.E. - Charlemagne's death
  • Charlemagne of "Charles the Great" ruled after Clovis, starting in 768 C.E. He ruled for over 40 years, rumor had it that he was 6'4'', tall even now! One of his important accomplishments was unifying all of the Christian lands into one single empire.
  • I declare you, Charlemagne, Holy Roman Emperor!
  • Charlemagne worked with a pope to build his empire and gave the church his support, the church appreciated this gesture, so they crowned him Holy Roman Emperor.
  • Charlemagne died after a long 40+ rule.
