Storyboard Text

  • Two friends, Matt and Jeff, go to the mall to buy clothes that they will wear for a Christmas party; they are on a budget.
  • What kinds of clothes are you going to buy, Matt?
  • I'm going to buy an Adidas T-shirt and pants from Uniqlo.
  • But they are imported, Jeff, I will look good when I wear them.
  • Aren't we on a budget? Those products are expensive.
  • Imported products are more attractive and durable because they are manufactured outside the Philippines. It would be a waste of money if I will buy something cheaper and made locally.
  • No, Matt. Just because it is imported does not mean that it is far more superior than our local products. If you think like that, you are disdaining the handiworks of our fellow countrymen.
  • Not only that, but our morale towards our nation could also decrease.
  • So, if we don't buy local products, many people will lose their jobs?
