• Hey man, can you please explain to me what Newtons 3 Laws are?
• Scene 1
• I have to take a quiz for science class later
• Sure no problem!
• Scene 2
• First lets talk about Newtons First Law
• For example, If I have a ball and I roll it, the ball will keep on rolling unless you stop it or friction stops it but if it stops then it will stay still unless there is an unbalanced force
• Newtons 1st Law states that "Objects in motion tend to stay in motion and objects in rest tent to stay at rest unless acted upon by an unbalanced force"
• Wow i'm surprised you knew all of that!
• Scene 3
• Alright now for the Second Law
• If you want to ride your scooter around, you would have to apply force to make it accelerate and if you add mass to the scooter you would have to apply even more force to make it accelerate
• Lets just say you are riding a scooter for example
• According to Newtons 2nd Law "Force equals mass times acceleration (F = ma.)"
• Well someone did their homework!
• Scene 4
• Well the bell for lunch is going to ring soon so can you explain the 3rd Law to me when we are there?
• Of course I can!
• Scene 5
• Newtons 3rd Law States that " For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction"
• It all makes sense now
• For example if you drop plastic cup on the grown, the action is it hitting the ground and the reaction is the plastic cup bouncing up in the opposite direction which is up
