The falling action of the story is when Kenny Nearly drowns because his curiosity had gotten the best of him even though there were numerous signs that told him not to go. But Byron saves him from drowning.
The resolution of the story is when The Watsons return from there visit in Birmingham, which ended in a complete disaster because the church that Joetta was at got bombed.
