  • Atypical moles have a Width of ¼ inch or more, Irregular shape, Two or more shades or colors. Fuzzy or notched borders, Raised “fried egg” center, or Pebbled surface
  • How do I stay safe?
  • I can tell you 5 ways to be sun safe. You should minimize exposure from 10am to 4pm, avoid tanning beds, wear protective clothing, Use sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or more with UVA and UVB protection, and consider having atypical moles removed
  • How do I know if I am at risk?
  • You have a higher risk if you have any atypical moles, have more than 50 moles, have a light complexion, have blonde or red hair, or have blue, green, or red eyes.
