Josh's Dad takes him on a boyscout trip to an old abandoned mine shaft in a ghost town. Josh goes inside the abandoned mine with teenagers from his pack.
Where are you?
Josh tries to keep up with the older kids in his pack. He cannot keep up and loses them when they turn around a bend.
Okay,you are our last hope.
My name is John. I know every place in the mine. I can help.
Josh does not come out of the mine. His dad gets worried because he cannot find him. The other scouts thought that he was with his dad. His dad thought he was with them. Josh's dad calls 911 to see if they can help find him.
Josh, are you okay?
We were so worried.
Many people come to look for Josh, but they can't find him. Their hope keeps fading after several days.
A mine historian, John, who practically grew up in the mine, comes to help search. The first day he comes, heis told that he isn't allowed to help. Finally, he is let in because nothing else is working for the searchers.
John and two searchers split up from the group and hear Josh crying for help. They climb up a steep slope and find him trying to crawl to safety. Josh has a lot of faith, which gets him through the five days he was lost in the mine.
