  • Animals begin the harvest while the pigs watched over. Although it was hard work, they felt accomplished to eat a meal they produced.
  • The 7 Commandments: No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets
  • Falling Action
  • Mr. Jones wanted to reclaim the farm, so he grabbed his gun and got his men. At first, the men seemed to be winning, but then all of the animals charged after them. A man was killed by Boxer and everyone ran away. The animals had won the fight. They called it Battle of the Cowshed.
  • Resolution
  • Snowball had an idea to build a windmill to produce power but Napoleon did not want that. Snowball was going to win the vote of the animals when all of the sudden, Napoleon called for the dogs that he trained to protect him. They came and chased Snowball off the farm. Napoleon claimed that Snowball had been evil and was working with Mr. Jones.
  • Resolution
  • Snowball never came back and Napoleon continued to tell people he was bad. Meanwhile, the pigs were breaking the commandments and secretly changing them. They simply convinced the animals they had remembered them wrong, but Clover always had an uneasy feeling that they had been changed. He would have Muriel read him the commandments over and over again.
  • Many years had passed, and the animals could not remember what it was like in Mr. Jones time. The pigs continued to receive special treatment without any comments. One day, when the pigs were coming back from school, they were walking on their hind legs and the animals stared at them wide-eyed.
  • The pigs had invited other farmers over to be friends. Napoleon discussed how proud he was of his dictatorship over the animals. The farm animals looked through the window from pig to man but could not tell the difference.
