Storyboard Text

  • This boy shall be a strong king or a religious leader.
  • My son shall be king!
  • Get away peasants!
  • What in the name of Brahman is happening!
  • This is normal living in Nepal, Prince Siddhartha.
  • Help us... Please, we need it!
  • Siddhartha is born and later sees a fortuneteller. He is meant to be either a religious leader or powerful king. His father feels heavily of his son being a strong leader of Nepal.
  • I believe you are talking about self-denial my boy. You shall regain happiness that way.
  • Priest, what is the way to live now? I need to know, I don't feel right about my life.
  • Siddhartha was protected from unpleasant things by the his father's guards so he would be convinced to be king of Nepal, not a religious leader.
  • Hummmm... I wish to leave this cycle and reeach great enlightenment.
  • Prince Gautama left the castle secretly unprotected and saw all the horrors of sights. He wanted to help;  so he continued on being a religious leader and helping those in need.
  • Who are you then?
  • I am awake.
  • Sidd. lived with an ascetic which meant he denied himself. Hee was once living in royalty, and later living on a grain of rice. He said he was so skinny, he could feel his backbone form his stomach. He was in this state of matter for five years.
  • Siddhartha meditated for 49 days under a fig tree until he finally escaped the cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
  • The Buddha is explaining how he is no god, but only a human being, just like everyone else. His main purpose in life was to make people aware of the true nature of life. He died at eighty years young and made a huge impact on religion beliefs.
