Storyboard Text

  • ABIGAIL: (It is rising to a great glee.) I saw Goody Sibber with the Devil!
  • PROCTOR: You will not judge me more, Elizabeth. I have good reason to think before I charge fraud on Abigail, and I will think on it.
  • MARY: (Crossing to Elizabeth, taking a small rag doll from pocket in her undershirt.) I made a gift for you today, Goody Proctor. I had to sit long hours in a chair, and passed the time with sewing.
  • Abigail and Betty begin accusing people of being witches and supposedly seeing them with the Devil
  • John Proctor is angry at Elizabeth for constantly assuming or thinking that he's always lying to her. He feels as if he shouldn't constantly be penalized for the affair he had with Abby.
  • Mary Warren gives Elizabeth a doll as a gift
