Antigone is prideful in burying her brother. She knew her consequence and did not want the same for Ismene.
"the dead men and the gods who rule the dead know whose act this was" ( 435 )
Creon would have never yielded because he had to much pride in himself. When he did yield and find out what he was doing was the wrong thing it was already to late.
"But a good man yields when he knows his course is wrong"( 805 )
Teiresias is a prophet and a person that can tell the future. he tries to convince Creon that what he is doing is wrong but his pride kept getting in the way. The crime that he was committing was being to pride full because his pride is what messed everything up for him.
"the only crime is pride"( 806 )
Creon takes so much pride in his position as king that he just does not see what Teiresias is trying to tell him.
"you forget yourself! you are speaking to your king"( 834 )
Antigone took pride in burying her brother and knew that the consequence was death. So instead of letting Creon kill her she took her own life.
"She had made a noose of her own fine linen veil" ( 959 )
At the end of the play Creon realizes that his pride was his worse flaw. His ride had ruined everything his family,his ruling as king, and most likely the trust of his people which started the whole thing.
"whatever my hands have touched has come to nothing. Fate has brought all my pride to a thought of dust"( 1038).
