  • The Ionian Revolt began in 499 B.C.E,which marked thew beginning of the Greek-Persian wars.In 546 B.C.E  the Persians conquered the wealthy Greek settlements in Ionia.The Ionas knew they couldon't defeat them by themself so they asked the Greee for help.In 493 B.C.E ,the Persians army defeated the Ionias.For their punishment the Persians destroyed the city of Miletus,and also sold some people in slavery

  • In 490 B.C the Persians and the Anthenians had a battle because the Greek  refused to present earth and water so the King Darios was furios so she sent as large army so they can 
  • Battle of Plataea
  • In 480 BCE the Spartans and the Persians had a battle because the Greeks were betrayed so  then they declared battle,so the the victory was taken by the Persians.
  • Effects
  • In 480 BC the Persian army invaded the Greece.The Greeks lured the enemy ships into the narrow stretch between the island of Salamis and the mainland.The Greeks had a plan to surround them so they can't escape,so it did work and the Persians had no room to escape so the Persians destroyed them.
  • In 479 BC Xerxes had left his army behind but they were on the Persians land,so when Xerxes came back the Anthenians were furios so they declared a battle.Even doe the Anthenians feared of the Persians,that didn't matter because they won the battle. 
  • Due to all the battles and the lacking,the Persian Empire fell apart.The Ionian wisdom ended.King Darious was angry for the Anthens grew.Then he gave him the incentive to invade Greece.
