Storyboard Text

  • Most pioneer families lived beside the Ohio and Mississippi river. These rivers assisted people by being a main road for transporting goods to markets.
  • Some of my friends were pioneers, long ago I found out that they didn't move west to live a spoilt life, they moved there to start a new beginning for themselves and their families. This caused our American culture to spread in the West.
  • As well as the war of 1812 coming to an end, the nation no longer felt united. I had found out that James Monroe was running for president, and he had won by a landslide. Boston had called this time the Era of Good Feelings. With Monroe now being president, he was bringing the nation back together.
  • Everyday I go home, there is something new happening in today's history.
  • One of my farmer friends Arkansas said that he was moving to the new land down south called Florida.
  • As factories were gaining more and more workers over the times that were being built, people started leaving. They were told there was a lot of agriculture down south and they were wanting to work in slave states.
