- during the war of 1812, there were many Native heroes, legends and war veterans created. It started to tear apart these communities.

- The British were preventing American trade with France to weaken their economy.
- Burning of the Capitol
- One of the main causes of the war of 1812 was the Impressment, or Kidnapping of, american sailors. In this depicted image, The British Redcoats invade the American ship and capture American sailors that were accused of being deserters of British ships. Even though the American Revolution had separated the two countries, the British still thought they had power over the U.S.

- After the second war against Britain was won, the citizens of the U.S. experienced increased Nationalism, which meant that they valued the power of their country more than the individual citizens. This was taken as another increase of the U.S.'s world superpower.
- Some British troops were sent to burn the White House. The Capitol area was very vulnerable during British attacks anyway, so They decided to burn down an important building to show their "superiority".
