Post Hoc (Ergo Propter Hoc) Example

Storyboard Text

  • Post Hoc, or Ergo Propter Hoc, is a type of fallacy where because something happened after another, it must have occured resulting from it. Here's an example:
  • One day, it was raining. Despite the weather, Marissa decided to go outside.
  • Suddenly, the rain stopped as soon as she stepped out of her house.
  • While Marissa was at the restaurant with her friend, there was still no rain.
  • After having lunch at the restaurant, she decided to return to her house.
  • She was back home when the rain fell down again.
  • I bring positivity to weather!
