Storyboard Text

  • No, but I'm interested. What is that?
  • Hey man, do you know what a constitutional monarchy is?
  • It's a bit like if dictatorship and democracy had a baby.
  • It's like an average monarchy in the sense that the ruler is born into his spot. However, they don't have total power.
  • Ok, then what role does the monarch play?
  • Instead of making all the rules, they act as the ceremonious leader and the head of state for their country. The true power lies within the legislature and judiciary, as allocated by the constitution. Under this type of government, the monarch can not get too powerful. Also, the people have basic rights. This is the type of government that Britain uses today.
  • Oh, ok. Thanks man!
  • No problem. That's why I'm here.
