My name is Ben, me and my family are going on a camping trip these weekend, I am so excited to finally get to try out all the tips and tricks I've been reading about.
After an 1 hour drive , we arrive at our camp site and to our surprise there was no one else there. Due to the elevation we noticed it was gonna get really cold, so we started to unpack our stuff and put up our tents and start a fire. We then realized that we didn't have even wood to make it though the night, If we didn't we would turn in to icicles. By these time it was really starting to get dark.
I started my search to find fire wood, there wasn't that much where we were because we camped on the flats, so its easier to sleep on. So i had to venture out far to get wood. Walking around out there was like walking though the bathroom in the middle of the night, because you cant see anything but shadows.
By the time I known it, I was totally lost and had to idea which direction to walk in. Some how I bumped into an old run down cabin, it was like one of those cables that you would see in a horror movie. When I walked in noticed that these cabin had not been used in a very long time. Then it started to set in that I now had to proved for myself in tell I was found. So the next morning I woke up when the sun came up I started by making things to hunt with like spears and bows, I finally got my first rabbit after 2 days of trying to hunt. As the days past I was really bored, and tried to find things that could occupy me in till I was found.
After a couple of days of trying to provide for himself with food he realized he was out of water, so I went on a hike to find a river so I could get water and boil it to make it clean to drink. I actually do find a little stream to get water from, I then take the water home in a old bottle that I had found in the cabin. One morning I wake up to my parents standing over me while I was laying on the old bed in the cabin. At least i was finally found, and i could go home and not have to provide for myself any longer. I still thought that it wasn't so bad, and it was also a very good lesson to learn.
