- Emily Davidson, a suffragette who threw herself in front a horse and became a martyr to advocate for women's rights.
- The Augmentation Principle

- Women who saw this act of bravery protested for women's rights to have their voices heard by the people and to gather more protesters.

- Yeah, we should advocate for women's rights too!
- They came up with non-threatening statements to make sure that people knew they were not trying to seize power for themselves but simply wanted equality. They made people think about the sitution.
- Social Crypoamnesia
- Who was that woman who got knocked over by that horse again?
- They sacrificed their dignity by going against the majorities beliefs, they did this to show how unfairly they were being treated.
- More and more women heard about these acts and wanted to help in their fight for equality, as the word spread, so did the amount of support. They moved people from the majority to the minority view.
- Society has forgotten about the struggle that women had to go through for equal rights, they have no memory of the lead up to the change.
