  • They sacrificed their dignity by going against the majorities beliefs, they did this to show how unfairly they were being treated.
  • More and more women heard about these acts and wanted to help in their fight for equality, as the word spread, so did the amount of support. They moved people from the majority to the minority view.
  • Society has forgotten about the struggle that women had to go through for equal rights, they have no memory of the lead up to the change.
