Learning to Drive-What's your plan?

Storyboard Text

  • Woohoo! My 16th birthday! I have finally reached the legal age to drive in BC with a supervisor.
  • I will soon take my knowledge test and vision screening. Hope I pass!
  • To prepare, I will take practice road signs and knowledge tests on the ICBC website.
  • Yes! I passed my knowledge test. I recently took the multiple choice test on a touchscreen kiosk.
  • Slow Down!
  • I will be a learner for 12 months before I can take a road test and graduate to the next level.
  • One Year Later...
  • Since I have successfully driven with a supervisor for a year, I took my class 7 road test today. I passed! I have finally achieved the milestone of receiving my title as a novice driver.
  • Get Full License!
  • I have been a novice driver for 2 months, 22 more to go. I will get my full license!
  • 22 months later...
  • After 24 consecutive months of being a novice driver (no driving prohibition), I took my class 5 road test today. It was nerve-wracking at first because I felt like it was out of my comfort zone. But, I powered through and showed my examiner that I am a calm and collected driver who makes the right decisions. As a result, I passed! I have my full license now!
