One winter a girl named Carly and her family went to Chicago to a festival called Winter Wonderfest. When they walked in, she and her brother, Conner, saw something really strange. There was a big Christmas tree that had a face and was staring at them!
I'm kind of scared!
Why is that tree still following us?
That's three dollars, please.
Their parents told her and her brother that they could go have fun at the festival, and that they would be with Cooper, Carly and Conner's younger brother, in the child section. They had a lot of fun ,but knew that the huge, green tree was watching them.
Why are you following us?
I was hoping that you guys could be my friends because I don't have any.
Of course we can! I thought you were trying to attack us! I didn't know that you just wanted to be friends!
They had a lot of fun. The siblings went on rides, played games, and ice skated, but as soon as they saw the tree, they ran. Carly and Conner didn't know why the tree kept following them. They really wanted to ask it why it was following them, but they were afraid because of how big it was. They thought it might attack them.
WOW! I Never thought I would be friends with a Christmas tree!
I am glad I figured out why the tree was following us!
This has been a VERY interesting day!
Carly and her brother went to the candy shop, in the same building, to get some treats. As they were checking out, they looked out the window and saw the Christmas tree perring in at them. They finally had enough. They didn't know what to do.
When they exited the candy store, that Christmas tree was right outside. They discovered his name was Jingles and that he only wanted the kids to be his friends.
Carly and Conner decided to go find their parents and tell them about their new friend. The whole family came to meet Jingles and they all had a great time together. When it was time for the family to leave, they said they would come back next year to visit Jingles. That day, the family realized that they should never judge someone or something by its appearance.
