Don't worry, we will talk more about what happened during class.
Does anyone know why the volcano erupted?
The students and the teacher got to the class and started talking about what had happened.
Hot magma rose to the surface.
Later they talked about the rock cycle and how it is related.
After the magma comes out it will start to cool and when it finishes cooling it creates igneous rocks.
In many years, the igneous rocks will turn into sediments due to the weather and erosion . Later with compaction, it will turn to a new rock called sedimentary rock.
After sedimentary rocks are made, with time they move deep into the earth and with the pressure and heat they combine and create the metamorphic rock. If the metamorhpic rock will melt it can be magma all over again.
In conclusion, every rock can become another type of rock because of the weather, heat, pressure, erossion, cooling, and more. Igneous can form into sedimentary rocks and sedimentary rocks can become metamorphic rocks. And that is the rock cycle!
