Finding Density with Mrs. Geller
This storyboard does not have a description.
Hi! My name is Mrs. Geller! I am going to teach you how to find density!
First things first, get the item you want to find the density of. You will need to find the mass of it first. I am going to find the density of this apple!
We are now finding the mass of this apple. To find the mass, place the apple on the pan and move the sliders until you can get the pointer to match the zero mark.
The mass of the apple is 100 grams.
Now you will need to find the volume of the apple! The volume formula for an irregular object is V=Vf - Vi. Since we started off with 100mL, and now we have 150mL. Our formula would be V= 150 - 100 = 50mL
The volume of our apple is 50mL
Since we know the mass and volume of our apple, we can now calculate the density. The formula is D = M / V
