General Ugartechea ordered Castaneda to retrieve the cannon from the Texans. When the Mexican army arrived at the Guadalupe river the Texans were waving a sign that said "COME AND TAKE IT", and shot a cannon at the Mexicans.
Massacre at Goliad
While Santa Anna was fighting at the Alamo, 59 Texas delegates decided to write a constitution stating that they wanted to be an independent colony.
The Mexican army surrounded the Alamo for thirteen days and finally on the morning of March 6th, the Mexicans attacked at all four sides. Over 250 Texans died and Travis wrote his famous letter asking for help.
Battle of San Jacinto
Santa Anna and Jose Urrea went to San Antonio to defeat the Texans. The Texans were caught by surprise with little supplies. All Texans were captured and then executed. The bodies were piled together and burned. Over 500 Texans died.
The Texan settlers were so afraid that if Santa Anna caught them, he would capture them and then execute them, they were right. All of the anglo settlers fled back to the United States where Santa Anna couldn't hurt them.

Both army's set up camp on the San Jacinto River. Santa Anna made the Mexican army stay awake all night and march while the Texas army rested. The Mexican army was tired, and took a nap in the middle of the day that is when Sam Houston attacked.The battle lasted 18 minutes and 630 Mexicans died and 730 were captured. during the midst of it, Santa Anna escaped. He was found and rated out by his own men.
