wow what a real shame whoever's cutting all that beautiful hair.
oh my god there's a huge 1 dollar sale at the goodies store
"ooh yes, very nice. $20 for the hair." Sofronie assured her. "oh that's perfect.", 20 dollars was just enough for Della to find a present, she agreed right away.
those next two hours seemed to go by quick. snip snip snip, Della's neck began to feel so much lighter, yet she reminiced the lovely feeling of her hair giving her warmth and cushioning and flowing in the wind dramatically.
As she checked store after store for the perfect gift, there it was at last. She spotted a golden chain that would look great with Jim's watch, the old leather band he had been using for it was barely staying on anymore.
Della nervously stood near the door waiting for Jim to come back from work. She began to worry about how Jim would react to her haircut and felt regret. "maybe I should'nt have done all of this.." she thought.
"honey I'm h-" Jim couldn't even finish his sentence he was so bewildered. "w- wh.." "what's the matter dear? You don't like it?" "It grows back very quickly don't worry!" Della blabbered in such panic. "you cut all your hair??" Jim cried.
"aw darn, I guess the combs I sold the old watch for are of no use for now.. That's what I was surprised about dear, a little haircut could never make me love you any less." Jim comforted his wife. "oh darling that's what I sold my hair for, a new strap for that watch!". They both giggled at their predicament yet felt touched by the devotion of both to the other and decided to sit down for dinner. The end.
