  • The beggining of the Middle Ages
  • During the Middle Ages
  • Feudlism
  • The middle ages began after the collapse at the western Roman Empire around 476 A.D and lasted roughly 1450 A.D. There was no central government so who ever had weapons ruled. There was also no army so they were always attacked.
  • The church
  •     During the Middle Ages, other parts of the world were very advanced and developed communities. For example, in Africa if you had the gold mines and salt places you controlled trade. In the Islamic world, they were all about religion.
  • What you ate in the Middle Ages
  •     Feudalism is created from when the king gives land to nobles and they promise the king loyalty. Then the nobles would give land to the lesser nobles for loyalty to the nobles. Feudalism is a rigid social structure. Peasants were traded with the land, they were pretty much slaves.
  •  The Life
  •     The church provided men to improve their life. This is how the church ranks worked, the Pope was at the top, below the Pope was cardinals, below the cardinals are the Archbishops, and below them were Bishops, and below them are Parish Priests. The church was always apart of your life back then it would make all of your everyday choices. Only church men could read.
  • People in the Middle Ages mostly ate bread and porridge. They ate meat on holidays. There outer clothes were made from wool and linton. People did not bath alot so there was a lot of diseases and germs.
  • Most people lived in a village with 400 people so they could easily be attacked. You had a 50% chance of living to an adult and a 1/10 of a chance making it to 60 years old. Women were treated unfairly, they could not read. Most people were not educated.
