Seek revenge. Don't harm Gertrude but make her feel guilty
Act 2- Plan play
I'll prove the king guilty with this play called The Rat Trap!
At the start of the play, Horatio gets invited to see a ghost that the two watchmen, Bernardo and Francisco saw when they were keeping watch.
Act 3- The Rat Trap
The ghost motions for Hamlet to follow him away from the watchmen and Horatio. He tell's Hamlet to seek revenge on the king, Claudias for marrying Gertrude and killing him. Hamlet decides he is going to "act crazy" and only Horatio knows.
Act 4- Ophelia Dies
Laertes, Ophelia has drowned.
Hamlet decides to write a play that will prove the guilt of his uncle Claudias with the killing of his father. The play will be a reenactment of someone killing the king just like Claudias did.
Act 5- Sword Fight
Hamlet sit's with Ophelia at the play and watches. As the play approached the killing of the king, Claudias quickly stood up and requested for the lights. Hamlet get's excited because it proves he is guilty for killing Old Hamlet.
Stop the play! Turn on the lights!
Laertes returns from France to find news that his sister, Ophelia, has drowned. Laertes plans a sword fight against Hamlet that will lead to his death. Laretes will put poison on his sword and Claudias will offer him wine with poison. Hamlet agrees to the fight to settle things with Laretes.
Hamlet and Laretes battle in their sword fight. In the middle of it, Claudias offers Hamlet the wine but he refuses leading to Gertrude taking a drink. During this Laretes takes a cheap shot at Hamlet and scars him with his sword. Gertrude quiclky dies and before Hamlets death he kills Claudias. Laretes dies from his own sword.
