Tesla's Remote Control Boat
Here I am, pushing the boundaries, once again!
After Edison's motors and generators kept breaking down, Tesla offered to redesign them for Edison. Tesla did as he promised, fixing all the problems with the motors. His design was much more efficient for use and was so reliable that we still use it to this day.
In response to Edison publicly electrocuting pets using Tesla’s AC current, Nikola Tesla decided to present a demonstration of his own. At the World Fair in 1893, Tesla demonstrates how perfectly safe the AC currents are by shooting electric currents through his own body to produce light.
In 1898, Tesla demonstrated a radio controlled boat. Using a small, radio transmitting control box, he was able to maneuver a tiny ship without any visible connection between the boat and controller. People believed Tesla had a monkey inside controlling it, or that it was even possible due to magic being involved.
