Lady Capulet tells Juliet the news about her upcoming wedding. Juliet disagrees and tells her father her wishes. Capulet then becomes extremely angry with Juliet's disobedience.
Juliet goes to see the Friar in attempt to find a solution to stop her marriage. She will result to suicide if the Friar does not have a plan.
Paris talks to the Friar about the upcoming wedding. Juliet then enters the scene and speaks to Paris about being a wife.
When Paris leaves, Juliet threatens to kill herself than marry him. The Friar tells Juliet his plan , he will give her a vial that will make her enter a deep sleep and fake her death. The Friar tells Juliet to send a message to Romeo explaining the plan.
Meanwhile, the Capulet household is preparing for Juliet's wedding. Juliet tells Capulet that she met Paris at the Friars cell and that she agrees to getting married. Before the night of the wedding she insists on being alone.
The Nurse and Lady Capulet bid Juliet goodnight. Juliet expresses her fears before drinking the potion and she then drinks it.
