Romulus and Remus were twin brothers and they were birthed by a Latin princess called Rhea. Her uncle didn't want her to have kids because he thought he would lose power to them, he thought the kids would overthrow him.
Rhea married a Roman God and when her uncle found out, he killed her.
The uncle told his servant to go kill the babies, but the servant felt guilty, he didn't want to kill the babies so he put them in a basket and he threw them down the river.
Down the river, the babies were rescued by a she wolf and she fed them with her milk. They were found by a caring shepherd who looked after them until they were older with their wifes.
Once Romulus and Remus grew up, they killed the evil uncle so that their grandfather could regain his throne. Romulus ended up killing his brother Remus.
