  • Thank you, that is much appreciated.
  • Welcome to Cape Cod new people we will teach you everything you need to know.
  • The Thanksgiving feast
  • Thank you for coming to our feast you have done so much for us.
  • Everything we did was because you treated us well so we treated you well too.
  • The king finally approved us to be a colony yes!!
  • In 1620, the pilgrims finally land where they want to be where they will have religious freedom which was Plymouth's rock.
  • The colony of Massachusetts Bay
  • We have came here with a charter from the king. Congratulations.
  • When the pilgrims came to Cape Cod they were welcomed by the Wampanoag tribe and they taught them how to plant crops, trap animals, and catch fish.
  • The Charter
  • In 1621, the Pilgrims invited the Wampanoag to share their first harvest in a three-day feast of thanksgiving. Today, Americans still celebrate this holiday.
  • The Modern Thanksgiving
  • Remember when pilgrims had to deal with a lot to go through making thanksgiving a holiday
  • Ten years later, a large group of Puritans decided to follow the Pilgrims to America. The king was relieved to see them go and sent them off with a charter for the colony of Massachusetts Bay.
  • The charter said that the Massachusetts colonists would govern themselves. The Puritans were pleased with the charter because they wanted to build a community governed by the rules of the Bible.
  • In Modern thanksgiving, we sit as a family to remember the days where the pilgrims had to go through everything that they did, and for that, we are thankful every year.
  • Yeah I am very thankful that we are allowed to celebrate this great holiday today.
