The War of 1812 is coming to an end soon, now that peace talks had already begun at to where it now modern Belgium. More improvement for the US had begun, stopping impressment on people. On December 24th of 1814, commissioners signed the Treaty of Ghent.
Britain did promised to leave Canada and its borders unchanged and abandon efforts to create an Indian state in the Northwest, but on January 8th, 1815, they were unaware that the peace concluded and British forces tried to do a major attack on New Orleans, only to get defeated once again with the hands of future president Andrew Jackson!
The Treaty of Ghent made a huge impact on the War of 1812, where the treaty is known as the "Era of Good Feelings." The war also marked the demise of the Federalist Party too! The War of 1812 had a huge impact that would help shape a better future of the 19th century in the US.
