  • When shall we three meet again In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
  • When the hurly burly's done,When the battle's lost and won.
  • That will be ere the set of sun.
  • Fair is foul, and foul is fair: Hover through the fog and filthy air.
  • God save the king! The victory fell on us. 
  • Great happiness! No more that thane of Cawdor shall deceive Our bosom interest: go pronounce his present death, And with his former title greet Macbeth.
  • "When shall we three meet again In thunder, lightning, or in rain?" (1.1.l.1-2 ) - "When the hurly burly's done, When the battle's lost and won." (1.1.l.4-5) - "That will be ere the set of sun." ( 1.1.l.6) Act 1 - Sc.1 = The witches have their first reunion. The discuss on when they will meet with Macbeth. 
  • All hail, Macbeth, hail to thee, thane of Cawdor!
  • All hail, Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter!
  • "Fair is foul, and foul is fair: Hover through the fog and filthy air." (1.1.l.13-14) Act 1 - Sc.1 = They say that battles will be lost and won a that what is bad for other, is good for them.
  • Glamis thou art, and Cawdor; and shalt be What thou art promised: yet do I fear thy nature; It is too full o' the milk of human kindness
  • "God save the king!" (1.2.l.72) - "The victory fell on us" (1.2.l.82) "Great happiness!"(1.2.l.85) - "No more that thane of Cawdor shall deceive Our bosom interest: go pronounce his present death, And with his former title greet Macbeth." (1.2.l.91-93) The sergeant brings the good news about Macbeth leading the troops to victory. They also realize that Macbeth is going to become the Thane of Cawdor.

  • "All hail, Macbeth! hail to thee, thane of Glamis!" (1.3.l.149) "All hail, Macbeth, hail to thee, thane of Cawdor!"(1.3.l.150) "All hail, Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter!"(1.3.l.151) Act 1 - Sc.3 = The witches, as they predicted, revealed to Macbeth that he is going to become the Thane of Cawdor. Banquo, surprised, and Macbeth, confused, were asking themselves how could this be possible.
  • All hail, Macbeth! hail to thee, thane of Glamis!
  • "Glamis thou art, and Cawdor; and shalt be What thou art promised: yet do I fear thy nature; It is too full o' the milk of human kindness" (1.5.l.359-361). Act 1 - Sc.5 = After reading a letter from Macbeth, Lady Macbeth gets excited about the power that she and Macbeth could possess if they take over throne. Which means that they have to kill Duncan in order to accomplish it. However, she worries about Macbeth kindness, that could hold him back from committing this crime.
  • "We will proceed no further in this business: He hath honour'd me of late;"(1.7.l.507-508). Act 1 - Sc.7 = As Lady Macbeth feared, Macbeth's kindness stood on the way and he decided to not proceed with the crime. However, later on the scene, Lady Macbeth convinces him on carrying on with her plan.
