  • One of the advantages of the British army was that they had a well-trained and organized army that was prepared for battle at anytime.
  • Uncharted Territory
  • Sir where are we?
  • I´m not sure soldier.
  • The British army had 80,000 troops well-trained for battle and always ready for anything, this aspect gave them the huge advantage in number when going up against the Colonists.
  • Far From Home
  • Is this the right way home?
  • I'm not sure.
  • King George supplemented his army with an additional 30,000 mercenaries. These hired soldiers became known as Hessians because they came from a part of Germany called Hesse-Cassel.
  • Is It Worth The Money?
  • Is all this really worth it.
  • When the British were going up against the Colonists they didn´t have any knowledge of the area so it made the strategy harder to form.
  • When the British went to go fight the Colonists they weren't familiar with the land and that gave them the disadvantage in territory, it was Jungle Warfare.
  • King George II had trouble convincing the citizens to join the British armies cause, and they questioned authority and wondered if it was really worth the effort.
