The Climate in the Southern Colonies was nice. It had a warm climate and mild winters. It had a long growing season. About 7 or 8 months.
Some Natural Resources are rivers and ideal soil.
Some Physical Features were coastal plains, rivers, the Appalachian Mountain Range, tidewater, and back country.
How the Southern Colonies made their money were by cash crops. Their cash crops included tobacco, cotton, rice, indigo, and sugarcane. They made these cash crops on plantations. Slaves worked on plantations.
Religion: They had more religious tolerance and religion didn't play a central role. But their central religion was the Anglican.
Education: Kid were generally taught at home because people were spread far apart. Kids read from books called "Horn Books."
Society: Their interaction with each other was limited because they were more spread out.
The Southern Colonies were self governing. The governor was appointed by the King. The governor could overrule the elected assembly. They were more democratic than England.
