  •  NaHCo3(s) + HC2H3O2 (aq) -> NaC2O2 (aq) + H20 (l) + CO2 (g)
  • C7H16  (lithium grease) + 11O2 -> 7CO2 + 8H20
  • As the 74th Annual Chemistry Games began, the contestants, Eric Leerencium,  Albert Leethium, Jason Arkong, and  AK Magnesium, run for the backpacks.
  • Eric threw a  baking-soda-and-vinegar bomb at Albert so he can take his check plus.
  • H2CO3  -> H20 + CO2
  • After Eric and AK meet and fight a bit, Eric creates a fire through a combustion reaction and eliminates AK. He must put out the fire using baking soda, producing CO2, so it would lack O2 that the fire needs to keep burning. 
  • Jason creates a Dry Ice Bomb by using PV=nRT. He adds water to a container with dry ice in it. The dry ice (solid CO2) heats up in the container and it becomes a gas. The pressure increases because the number of moles of CO2 increases in the constant volume of the sealed container, causing it to explode. 
  • Since Eric swatted the Dry Ice Bomb, Jason followed up with a spray from Coke and Mentos.  He used  PV=nRT again.  The spray was a result of the increase of CO2 and the increase of volume due to the  opened Coke bottle.  
  • After Eric defeated Jason by diluting his HCl attack with baking soda, he created a victory smoke-flare, celbrating his win
