  • Today is the day that I, Charles I become king.
  • I, King Charles I vow to not levy taxes without the Parliament approval, not imprision anyone with no legal basis, not force citizens to house soldiers, and do not advocate material law on peacetime.
  • I do not need the Parliament to rule. I can do by myself. I am an Absolute Monarch, and God gave me the Divine Right to rule.
  • Charles I becomes king in 1625 and got involved England in military adventures.
  • The Petition of Rights was made in 1628 with purpose of place limits on the kings powers.
  • I'm speaking for the King's Army, and we surrender. THE WAR IS OVWER.
  • Charles I broke his agreement and taxed English citizen without Parliament authorization. By that, in 1629 choses to dismiss Parliament and rule without them.
  • Cromwell died. Now, Monarchy is back.
  • Not that later, the Parliament moves to abolish the king power in the Anglican Church, which made the king revolt by leading the military into the house of commons to arrest Puritans. All that, cause the English Civil War in 1642.
  • The war ended in 1646 for the fact of the kings army surrenders. Cromwall now has the complete power and dismissed anyone who did not follow his rules and agreed with him.
  • In 1649 Charles I is beheaded and England becomes a republican form of government. Many people were unhappy with Cromwell when he dismissed the Parliament. When he died, monarchy was brought back.
