  • The French and Indian is the most significant event because it is the event that started the taxes on everything. The British needed money to pay their debt. Therefore, they needed to tax on daily goods, that way they can bring back their revenue. This had a great impact on the citizens because they were the ones that had to pay taxes.
  • All the taxes on the people are significant because that is what made them rebel against British colonies and government. The american people were fed up with paying taxes on everything including paper and tea. An event went so far that people were going to raid a store full of goods, by throwing rocks at the glass.
  • The English Bill of Rights is significant because it was the law that passed Americans to have rights and somewhat freedom. It also separated the power of the king or queen from regular citizens. It also gave citizens the freedom of speech. Americans could now say what they wanted to say about the debate of taxes.
