All matter is made of atoms, atoms are indivisible and indestructible, all atoms of a given element are identical in mass and properties, compounds are formed by a combination of two or more different kinds of atoms.
In 1803, John Dalton started thinking in a similar way as Democritus. He thought that there was a limit for splitting an object, it wasn't going to split forever.
I also discovered that a chemical reaction is a rearrangement of atoms, atoms of different elements have different weights and different chemical properties and can combine in simple whole numbers to form compounds. This is amazing.
His ideas were very based on Democritus because he read most of his books which contained his ideas.
After doing experiments, he discovered new thing with the help of new technologies and also mentioned some thinkings from Democritus.
He continues having more and more ideas.
His atomic model was based on his theory about different atoms forming compounds. He thought the atom was a ball-like structure.
