If they won't be Catholic, they will die or sail away to who cares where... maybe the New World, Jamestowne.
I am done with dealing with those pesky Puritans! I will sign their CHARTER and send them to the New World! If they won't follow me and the New England Way, then they might as well go away.
FAMILIES came to the New World all at once during a time called the GREAT MIGRATION. they came all at once because they wouldn't join the CHURCH OF ENGLAND and therefore were being religously prosecuted. Most of the time these people are referred to as PILGRIMS.
Jamestowne and Plymouth were very different in many ways. One example of their differences was that the PURITANS came due to their religious beliefs, asking Queen Mary, also known as Bloody Mary for a charter to go to the New World. Once she gave the soon-to-be known as PILGRIMS their permission to go to the New World, they ended up in what was then known as Plymouth.
The PURITAN and the PILGRIM'S main source of income was through fishing and through WAILING which go hand in hand. They would catch and fillet the caught fish, use oil gained through WAILING to preserve the fish, and then put them in a barrel to ship out to people who were partners in trade.
The SOIL that the PILGRIMS settled on was ROCKY and not very fertile, however, the Natives in the area around CAPE COD were very friendly and kind. The pilgrims had small farms and SUBSISTENCE FARMED. The PILGRIMS settled on the coast of MASSACHUSETTS.
